Dear Sirs,
I have a problem with my Sony Vaio Laptop. I got 2 trojan viruses and I would like to know if you can reinstall it to get it work again. Fortunately I solved all my datas, so there is no need for making a backup. But the problem is, that I don´t have the office cd with me. Please let me know how the procedurewould be , how long it would take and how much it would be.

Dear SUNNY,
I came across your website after looking on the Shanghai Expat forums.
I have a HP Pavilion dv2700 Special Edition laptop. It is almost 2 years old, but has until yesterday, functioned fine.
Now, upon bootup, the screen displays numerous crazy artifacts, though the computer itself bootsup normally (I hear the windows sound after a few minutes).
The IT guys at work told me that the graphics chip on my motherboard is broken or loose, and the gentleman at the HP store agreed.
Unfortunately, my laptop is from the US, and the replacement motherboard is quoted at over 3000RMB. However, both the HP store and the IT guys at work state that it is possible to find someone who can repair the graphics chip instead of replacing the motherboard. They think that this procedure should run around 600-800RMB, but added that a delicate procedure such as this requires an experienced technician; lest the repair undo itself rapidly.
To complicate matters further, forums online have mentioned a defective batch of Nvidia 8400GS graphics cards, the same model that I have. I do not know if this has any bearing on the outcome.
Does your shop do this type of repair? I would appreciate any advice you could offer on the matter.

Hello,
I have a desktop PC that needs software and maybe some hardware maintenance/upgrade. Now I cannot check it because I think the screen output is broken.
I live on Anshun Lu near Zhongshan Xi Lu, about 10 min from Gubei Carrefour. Can you come to my house to check it or should I bring it to your shop?
I would also like to ask about setting up a VPN to go around the China firewall and a wifi network in my home. Please reply so we can discuss this.

| I am currently having issues to where my dv6000 refuses to start up. It was working perfectly fine two days ago but as soon as I try and start it up today it refuses to turn on. I tried all the troubleshooting tips like draining the power or reseating the RAM but nothing. It was even sent in for repair for a week and a half and it came back in the condition that it was sent in--broken,Can you resolve the problem for me? |

Hp dv6000 has two models,one in INTEL cpu,another just in AMD cpu,the video card is NVIDIA or ATI,The defect is,very hot,so the motherboard is very easy to damage,I think your problem is just your motherboard,we can solve the problem,you may bring your laptop to our office,thank you! |
